Step 1

Complete our 30 second survey to find out if your home pre-qualifies for a Dandelion Energy home geothermal system. A Customer Experience Specialist will reach out within 24 hours to ask you a few more questions about your home.

Step 2

If your home qualifies, an Energy Consultant will meet you virtually via a video conference to answer your questions, discuss your heating and cooling usage, and calculate your potential savings.

Step 3

A trained geothermal system designer will come to your home and walk you through a potential installation. This helps us determine the best location, size, and design for your geothermal system.

Step 4

We’ll install your geothermal system in 3 stages: drilling the underground loops, connecting the ground loop to your home, and installing the heat pump where your furnace used to sit. First, we will spend between 1-3 days drilling your ground loop(s) and preparing to connect internally.

Step 5

Once all old equipment has been removed and your interior space is ready, we will spend 1-3 days installing your heat pump inside of your home.

Step 6

Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a brand new home geothermal system. Enjoy lower energy bills, cleaner air, and fewer emissions!

Save Big With Federal & Local Geothermal Incentives

Federal Incentives

Since 2022, the federal tax incentive, also known as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), will cover 30% of a Dandelion geothermal system.

State Incentives

Many states now offer incentives and rebate programs exclusively for Geothermal!

New York State offers a 25% tax credit on geothermal installation expenses, up to $5,000.

Massachusetts offers many affordable options – with MassSave incentives, MA homeowners qualify for a $15,000 rebate for a new Dandelion Geothermal system. Geothermal systems are also exempt from state sales tax.

There are additional rebates available through the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard for reducing greenhouse gas emissions that range from $400-$1,200/year for up to 10 years.

Utility Incentives

Local utility incentives can provide an additional $5,000 – $25,000 of savings for switching to geothermal. These rebates vary by location and can cover as much as 30% of an installation.

To navigate this complexity, Dandelion has an in-house team of experts to help you maximize your rebates and savings.
