What to expect

  1. Connect with an Authorized Installer Click Get Started below to see if Dandelion is available in your area. We’ll connect you with an Authorized Installer who will help you determined if geothermal is right for your home.
  2. Design and permitting Your Authorized Installer will design a geothermal system to meet your needs and then submit for permits. Typically permitting takes one to two months.
  3. Ground loop installation Once permits are received, your ground loops will be installed in your yard. This involves drilling one or more narrow (6”) boreholes hundreds of feet deep, installing the ground loops, and connecting them into your basement through a shallow trench.
  4. Heat pump installation The final step is installing the heat pump in your home (typically in a basement or mechanical room). This takes between 1-3 days. Once the heat pump is internally connected to the ground loop, you are ready to start enjoying the planet’s most efficient heating and cooling system!
